M’membe denied holding a rally

Police have denied the notice by the Socialist Party (SP) to hold a public Rally in Kitwe this Saturday citing security concerns and insufficient manpower.

Socialist Party Leader Dr Fred M’membe was this Saturday scheduled to hold a rally in Kitwe on the topic cost of living and Jobs.

However, Dr M’membe says the rally has been cancelled because the United Party for National Development (UPND) is afraid and insecure because they have realised that the people are tired of their lies and manipulation.

“They’re afraid to hear the voice of the people. Why are they so insecure if they’re convinced that they’re doing the right thing? What type of liberal democrats are these? And they think they will continue to govern the country and the people in this manner? Anyway, the message is clear, the reason they’re afraid and insecure is because they have realised that the people are tired of their lies and manipulation. No matter what they do, they’re going in 2026,” wrote Dr M’membe on his Facebook page.
