Minister faces arrest over porn video

Police say Minister of Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Lawrence Sichalwe has committed an offence of being in possession of a pornographic video by virtue of him sharing it.

Sichalwe, 58, posted a pornographic video yesterday to a WhatsApp group called ‘What Government is Doing’ and later blamed technology for his embarrassing blunder.

The minister sheepishly claimed he had been trying to delete the said video from a different WhatsApp group but accidentally forwarded it to ‘What Government is Doing’ as PF youths in the group took turns roasting him.

But Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has explained to Diamond TV that whether Sichalwe posted the video by mistake or not, he committed an offence of being in possession of pornographic material.

She says there is no way the video could have been shared if he was not in possession of it.

She says since the law does not segregate, Sichalwe may be prosecuted even if he is a minister.

Sichalwe has declined to comment on the matter.
