The newly formed Democratic Front of Miles Sampa has gone into an Alliance with NAREP of Elias Chipimo and 4th Republic Party of Eric Chanda.

The three leaders have resolved to adopt Sampa as the president of the alliance which will be called the Orange Alliance.

Chipimo is the Chairman of the Alliance with Chanda as Secretary General as well Spokesperson.

Speaking during the signing of the alliance agreement in Lusaka today, Friday, Chanda said the three have sacrificed their party presidencies knowing that there is only one president at a time, thus the need to unite and work together for the benefit of the people of Zambia.

He explained that though the initiative has been started with the three of them, doors are still open for new members from other political parties as long as they are ready to follow what has been outlined in the agreement.

And Chipimo said they have come together with a message of hope and a promise that if they work together, they can build a Zambia that the people of Zambia desire.

Sampa syid the alliance is about redeeming the people of Zambia from economic slavery and not political fights.

He said that with the experience that each of them possess, they believe they have what it takes to win the August 11 general election.

Sampa a former Deputy Minister of Commerce and Matero Member of Parliament quit Patriotic Front last week.

  3. Why are we so negative when people want to exercise their democratic rights especially when it comes to high aspirations like becoming president of this country?
Why judge them so quickly and harshly.
Our president ECL has been given a chance and we should let him prove himself too.
And so should anyone else who wishes to stand.
Zambians mwaba shani kanshi? You criticise for the sake of it.Sometimes very shallowly.HH can’t rule this country because he’s tribalistic or because he has lost elections before. You even call him Kalusa. Are you sure?Give people a chance.
People said Sata was not qualified enough to become president. He did.
My point:Don’t judge or call people you don’t know names. It’s a sheer waste of time.Critisise constructively and intelligently please.
