Met Dept warns of 4 days of continuous downpour

The Meteorological Department has warned of four days of continuous rainfall in some parts of the Southern Province.

According to the Met Department, the rains are expected to kick in this Saturday 11th of November 2022 and go on non-stop for days.

Apparently, areas such as Choma have been raining cats and dogs since morning, with reports that a number of other places are experiencing the same.

Southern Province Meteorologist Victor Bupe says the downpour are expected in the coming four days.

Be that as it may, the country is experiencing rainfall activities with flooding being recorded in some parts.

Houses, and other building structures especially those in low lying places and wetlands have been washed away in some areas.

The authorities is on record calling on members of the public to desist from building houses in wetlands.
