Mapanza Institute of Health Sciences closed

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) has with immediate effect closed the operations of Mapanza Institute of Health Sciences in Choma District.

According to a letter addressed to the School Director of Programmes seen by Zambian Eye, the council notes that the college was operating without following standards of a training centre.

According to the letter, Mapanza Institute of Health Sciences failed to follow the laid down procedure of a school that should produce nurses and Midwives.

The letter, further says the Council had received various complaints against the operation of the institute among them over enrolment.
