Mangango by-election date set for August 19

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has set August 19, 2014 as the date for Mangango constituency by-election in Western province.

The by-election follows the nullification of opposition MMD Member of Parliament Robert Taundi Chiseke.

ECZ announced the development on Friday, June 6 and said on the same date a number of 20 ward by-elections will take place.

Filing of nominations will take place on July 19.
