A registered male nurse who helped an expecting mother to give birth in a canter last year September in Kafue District, Chiawa has been awarded a job in Ministry of Health.

Muhongo Kabuto was working as a census enumerator in Kafue when he helped the woman.

But it was not easy for him to convince the women as they had doubts if he was a trained registered male nurse who could deal with child deliveries.

Despite that Kabuto executed his duties as a health personnel until the safe baby delivery was conducted by him alone.

Service nurses at Chiawa health center only came after 15- 20 minutes.
