Man voted six times, caught with ballot papers

United Party for National Development (UPND) lawyer Martha Mushipe today shocked the nation when she produced some slips of ballot papers as evidence confiscated from a voter who allegedly voted six times before being caught.
During a live Electoral Commission of Zambia briefing, Mushipe presented the query to chief electoral officer Priscilla Isaac and asked what the commission will do over a man who allegedly voted six times.
“Our security caught some one after being noticed to have voted for more than once and after searching him, we found these ballot papers on him” She narrated as she displayed the ballot papers.
Mushipe said she will use the ballot paper as evidence soon.
However ECZ Public Relations Manager advised Mushipe to make an official complaint and make sure she attaches the evidence so that the commission can look in to the matter.
The ECZ’s next press briefing is on August 12, 2016 at 10:00hrs.
