Male nurse struck to death

The 23 year old male nurse of Chipata in Eastern Province has died after being struck by lightning yesterday.

It is alleged that Eluid Banda died on the spot after the lightning struck him around 15:00 hours in Feni Sub Centre, Chipata.

Banda was a former student Union President for Mwami School of Nursing.

A newly qualified Registered Nurse passed his General Nursing Council examinations last year November with good results.

Banda had done his internship at St Francis Hospital in Katete.
