Lusaka province Minister Bowman Lusambo has directed NIPA Management to stop enrolling students with fake Grade 12 results.

Lusambo who visited the public institution on Tuesday also banned the institution’s bar.

The outspoken Minister later posted the following on his Facebook page:

NIPA SHOULD STOP ENROLLING STUDENTS WITH QUESTIONABLE G12 PAPERS

I earlier today toured the National Institute for Public Administration as part of my efforts to fully appreciate the operations of key operations in the Province.

I interacted with both management and students and got to appreciate the challenges and innovations taking place at the institutions.

I took the opportunity to warm staff to refrain from acts of tribalism and seek to promote the spirit of One Zambia, One Nation at the institution.

I prodded management to refrain from malpractices such as the issuing of fake certificates and admitting candidate with questionable Grade 12 Certificates as this has the potential to erode the credibility of the institution.

I also instructed management to close down the Students Bar because of its close proximity to the hostels. As much as it is important for students to relax, it is imperative that facilities such as Recreational Centres are not placed in locations that negatively affect student’s stay in campus.

  2. For how long has been the bar operating on that location. Its either the bar has always been in the right location as dictated by initial design or management started building hotels closer to it after it was already built
