fb_img_1473772680274Newly inaugurated President Edgar Lungu has announced the appointment of a commission of inquiry to probe the incidences of violence that characterized the post-election period.

And Lungu has assured the nation that the trust the people have shown in him by giving him a new five-year mandate is not misplaced.

Speaking after his inauguration as 6th Republican President, Lungu also directed all senior government officials to own an agro venture on small scare

“In order to sustain our countries industrialization, we must continue to support the energy, water development and science & technology. ” he said as the crowds cheered.

“The slogan “sonta apo wabomba, nga tawasonte sela tubombeko” is more than just a political slogan but a cultural phenomenon that will inspire hard work amongst our people.”

Lungu also said the isolated incidents of violence during the elections is so shameful and must be probed.

    • It is Taboo to say this to HH. Only a f00L like you can say this to HH. HH doesnt deserve this f00lishness. We know that to stop this n0sense, the solution is to divide what is so called Zambia into NWR and NER, and we determined to do so. Its you who started this because of your f00L1shness.

    • These are some of the comments that keep widening the peppery relations between Tongas and Bembas. PF is going nowhere, just wait for the unfolding of Biblical Nebhuchadenezzar calamities in PF camp one by one. Remember a tiny, shaky and hoarse voice in one Parliamentary Session by one might PF originator in 2014 before he joined Satan’s reign!

  2. Dividing Zambia into NWR and NER is the solution to all these problems of violence as people in these areas are dismillar.

  4. Kumbele you don’t know what you are talking about.
You must know that HH wouldn’t support you in your small mind.
He cannot even support that thought.
He is a business man who must do business with wide zambia.
He like his wealth to be secure.
He wouldn’t like his wealth to be plundered by you.
He wouldn’t like to go in the bush infested with mosquitos.
He would like his children to school and keep them in a safe nation.
He is not a freedom fighter.
He wants to enjoy his wealth.
He cannot waste his money cattle just because of you.

    • Now it pains you when I say we divide Zambia. Dividing Zambia doesnt mean war or bloodshed. The boudary is already there. You also see what panda said about HH, is it fair to say this to HH? Respect HH if you want Zambia to remain united. We dont mind spliting Zambia if you dont respect HH. He lost elections so dont demonise him. Leave him to enjoy his wealth in peace. Please…. Please.

  8. You see my biggest problem ECL is that he he cannot rise above party politics. That is the main reason why he has managed to divide the country. Do you remember the remarks about Tongas uttered by SG. ECL did nothing about it. Do you remember a woman who was stripped by PF thugs during youthday. ECL did nothing about it. There are incidences we can talk about. However if anyone from UPND does something they are arrested without bail. So ECL has failed to protect all the citizens. He is now threatening opposition leaders with arrests for the violence that happened. Do you remember the UPND bus that stopped in Mutendere by PF thugs ECL did nothing about it. How do we trust to be our presidents if he has shown clearly that he is a president for PF only. CAN a Leopard change its colours? I doubt the leadership of ECL. May God indeed help Zambia.

  10. Yaba ati inauguration speech full of guess work. Instead of giving plan on how he will manage the economic sectors ie energy generation, agriculture production/ support programme/ diversify, trade balance/ strengthening local currency, industrial/ manufacturing productivity, tourism, job creation etc. He is talking of having a garden in the back yard as though he can even manage to make a nursery of tomatoes in preference to jameson. Misbehaving during courtship (18 months) can not lead to happy marriage (5 years). which normal parent can allow this? Chagwa has no knowledge of wealth creation for himself, how much more for the nation? He is only good at spending/ Plunder the treasury and replace it with kaloba. Watch him closely this time around. Most of his cadres will drink water from the shallow wells because there is no more cash.

  13. Very interesting,we will see the shape of the comission, because pf cadres are the one caused alot of atrocities and upto now no one has been arrested e.g shiwang’andu incedent.

    September 13, 2016 at 4:07 pm

  14. The Commission of Enquiry should be on Election Political Violence and not just post-election violence alone! It would be nonsensical to probe violence after the elections and ignore or cover up the larger part that we saw before the campaigns, during the campaigns and after the elections.

  16. This is cheap, stupid, silly, shallow and outright imbecility for LUNGU to set up a commission to look only at one side of the problem. Set up a commission to find out the following;
    1. Violence experienced leading to elections
    2. Why government media did not adequately cover opposition parties rallies
    2. Why police used brutality against opposition parties members/cadres
    3. Why PF cadres were allowed to masquerade as law enforcement officers
    4. Why and who shot that poor girl in the back
    5. Why opposition parties rallies were cancelled at last minute
    6. Who authorized PF hired musicians to travel on ZAF helicopters
    7. Why ministers and their deputies stayed in office after dissolution of parliament
8.Why elections were marred by so many regularities including allowing unauthorized people in sensitive areas of election space.

Finally dull Lungu must be made to understand that any commission’s work is to find out what went wrong and how we can best remedy the situation so that it doesn’t happen again. It is not about “BOOKING” people as he puts it !!
