After fours in government, the Patriotic Front government will hold it’s first press conference on Thursday.

President Edgar Lungu will hold the press conference at State House at 12:00 hours.

His predecessor Michael Sata never held a press conference the three years he reigned.

Lungu became president in January 2015 and this will be the first press conference for his party in government.

“Members of the Press and Diplomatic Corps are invited to be seated at 11:30 hours,” stated Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda in a brief statement on Wednesday.

  5. We will wait and hear what he wants to tell us Zambians over the failures of PF to deliever. The violence created by his party. We want to know whether he is for democracy or panga or guns. Whatever he wants to talk he must know that we will support good ideas for developing this country. We are going to support Hakainde Hichilema and vote for him and UPND in 2016 general elections as they seem to mean well for the entire country. No more blaming God but solutions are what our people in Zambia want. A president should talk real issues NOT some paper (the Post) or opposition (HH, EN and others) but talk of solutions and no more promises. No more tribal sentiments and stone age thinking of blocking others to campaign in places you cheat yourself that are your strongholds. Those were for Sata Not Lungu. Real PF died with that man who manufactured lies. Yours is guns but are sure we will support a party full of enemies of the people they want to rule?

  6. Sounds like a great event when it is supposed to be a regular briefing of the nation in a democracy. Obama has regular briefings and public interactions with the public. This is good as it automatically kills the power of kachepas.

  13. @Robert, are u God to make such pronouncements ? The fact is u created nothing and you have got no part to what God Almighty created and determines. If it’ s God’ s desire that at some point, UPND will rule Zambia, who is you to say ”No” with your big, ugly, stinking mouth ? On this planet earth mwana, which you did not create, you have got no say to things which are put in place (determined) by God Almighty because you are just a fly. So do not expose your folly by making pronouncements which are beyond human orchestration because in the process, you just make a f.o.o.l of yourself.

  14. Drunken master to hold press conference at 12:00 hrs today. Whatever he is to say it’s unfuturistic and divisive. He sometimes says something sensible and does it opposite in implementation, what’s wrong with Lungu people? He talks of peace and unity in the nation, blackmailing people with fasting and prayer, on the other hand he’s busy dividing the nation. Lungu is a untrustworthy, just wait see.
