Lungu addressing a rally in Mungwi

PF President EDGAR says former President RUPIAH BANDA is supporting his candidature in next month’s elections because he is the only one he has seen as a credible leader among the contestants.

Addressing a rally in Mungwi District in the Northern Province on Wednesday in the afternoon, Mr. LUNGU said Mr. BANDA has also given him his campaign truck with a PA system which had initially been covered with his posters.

He says Mr. BANDA is rallying behind him because he has seen him to be the only one capable on continuing with the country’s development agenda.

Mr. LUNGU has also called on Mungwi and Kasama residents who attended the rally to continue supporting the PF and him in taking development further in the areas.

He says various developmental projects have been undertaken since the PF assumed office in 2011 and will continue with the development path.

The PF President says his style of leadership will be about listening to people’s needs through their MPs before implementation.

He has also assured the electorates of his commitments to revamp the water system in the area which he says was set up in 1958 as part of addressing the challenges.

And Malole MP CRIS YALUMA has called on electorates in the area to give Mr. LUNGU the same support that they gave late President MICHAEL SATA in the 2011 general elections.

Mr. YALUMA who is also Energy and Mines Minister says allegations that he insulted Acting President GUY SCOTT and opposition UPND leader HAKAINDE HICHILEMA are false.

He says he practices clean politics which has seen Malole Constituency residents trusting him hence appealing to them to trust Mr. LUNGU aswell.

And Lukasha Constituency MP ELFREDAH KANSEMBE has assured the PF President that Kasama remains intact and in the hands of the PF.

She says only one of the 17 PF councilors in the district has left the PF describing him as not a factor to worry about.

And Northern Province Minister FREEDOM SIKAZWE expressed happiness with Ms. KANSEMBE’s words.

Mr. SIKAZWE says people in Lusaka think that there is one small GOD n Kasama who looks after the people and he is happy that the residents have refused to be controlled by anyone.

He has called on the electorates in both Mungwi and Kasama districts to shame those that think are small gods by turning up in numbers and voting for the Mr. LUNGU on January 20th 2015.

Mr. SIKAZWE says Mr. LUNGU was chosen by late President SATA to finish his projects as seen from the various times he was asked to act as President.

And MMD Member of the National Executive Committee SHARPY MPUNDU has pledged support for Mr. LUNGU.

He has since called on all MMD members across the country to rally behind Mr. LUNGU.
