The UPND Choma District Media Campaign Team has challenged Republican President Edgar Chagwa Lungu to ensure that resources meant for the constructions Of roads, schools, upgrading Of new district infrastructures and bridges are released on time and serve the intended purposes and not diverted to his world tourism ventures.

UPND Choma District Media Campaign Team Co-Ordinator Dexter Zemba Moono has described President Lungu as a transit President who does not seem to have time to attend to internal challenges that the ordinary people Of Zambia were going through.

Moono disclosed that President Lungu seem to be contented with making trips abroad as he just passes through and proceeds to the next point without taking into considerations the sufferings Of the people Of Zambia.

The UPND Choma District Media Campaign Team Co-Ordinator disclosed that President Lungu does not have time to stay in the Country long enough to hear for himself what the people who ushered him into Office were crying but wants to use the little time left before 2016 to tour every corner of the World.

Moono observed that there are too many costs to his current delegation like the one he has gone with to China which he does not realize that if well spent internally on some Of the unfinished structures would make a big difference.

He further disclosed that money spent on President Lungu`s huge delegations to China if avoided would have changed some people’s lives in the Country.

Moono disclosed that it is critical that the PF Government finds funds for the completions of the projects which they embarked on when they were ushered into Office in 2011 before their term comes to an end in 2016 charging that the task before them is huge.

Moono advised President Lungu to double up his efforts in addressing the various challenges facing the people Of Zambia before the 2016 General elections.

The Zambian President is accompanied by the First Lady ,His Press Aid, Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda, Commerce Minister Margrate Mwanakatwe, Works, Transport and Communication Minister Yamfwa Mukanga, Agriculture Minister Given Lubinda and other Government Officials

  4. The way the media reports does not help citizens with the process of identifying politicians in their individuality and holding them for accountability in their utterances! Thus dragging a party in an individuals’ miscalculation and/or misrepresentation. Take for instance the titling of the article above which is being attributed to UPND and not Dexter Zemba Moono who must have made the comments in his individual capacity and neither on behalf of UPND Choma District Media Campaign Team nor as its coordinator on behalf of the UNDP as a whole. This kind of reporting repeats itself in the various media portraying that politicians, party cadres and sympathizers alike all speak for the party of affiliation or are delegated to do so each time they open their mouths! Where some of us live the media will simply mention the name of who the article is reporting on followed by party of affiliation. For example “Mr X a democrat (or republican and usually by initials D or R in brackets) said………” and not “The Republican Party (or The Democratic…) challenged…..!” Then continue with for example, “Senator John McCain of the Republican Party……” The heading should have read “Lungu must not divert money for Roads to his foreign trips – D.Z. Moono (UPND)”

  5. The article exposes crass ignorance. What is coming out really is for individuals having a jugular at President Lungu. What is clear is that they wish it was HH traversing the world. Money for roads is managed by NRFA.
D.Z. Moono must grow up and begin to analyse national issues rationaly, not Tongalising everything. If he has nothing to say how bitter he still is following HH’s defeat to a first time Presidential contender, let him continue herding cattle or just shut up.

  6. Moono is addressing the isuue of abuse of office by Edgar Lungu. Why carry a bush of ministers and PF cadres in the name of sourcing for investment. Panga Family under Sata also toured China for the same reasons. China has representative in Zambia who could have taken care of such matters as chinese investors are already scrubbling of place and areas to invest. If Chagwa was seriousy he should have gone with his wife and three other officials NOT the large team of tourist at the expense of our hard earned tax money. We know his time is short but let him not waste our money through such trips. This guy should be reminded oncemore that he won elections with the pretext that he will finish projects left by chief lier Sata and his friend (Willie Nsanda) who he even failed to attend his burial for the love of making some few coins for his pocket.
