President Edgar Lungu is expected to hold one on one talks with Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe on the side lines of the SADC Summit in Harare.

It is not yet clear, the agenda for the meeting of the two leaders who so far met once since January 20 when Edgar Lungu was elected President of Zambia taking over from Michael Sata who died on October 28, 2014 in London.

Sata was a close friend of President Mugabe and the two said there were twins. It seems his predecessor Lungu has also taken over the friendship. Even during the campaigns, Lungu sneaked out to Harare to meet President Mugabe who later was the special Guest at his inauguration.

President Lungu will fly to Zimbabwe Tuesday afternoon at 2pm local time to join other Heads of States from the Southern Africa which opens today.

    • How come Zambia was in tatters during Kaunda’s time and how come Zimbabwe is in tatters under one Robert Gabriel Mugabe? They have no vision beyond liberation. No wonder our President likes them, because he has no vision.
