Lungu is diminishing HH’s chances of forming government – Fr. Bwalya

PF Cadre Frank Bwalya says opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema doesn’t want President Lungu’s government ” to correct situations because it diminishes their chances of forming government.”

Fr. Bwalya who just dissolved his party to join PF has cited the changes in retirement age, removal of maize subsidies which President Lungu wants to make which he says UPND and Hichilema would raise issues about.

Below is what Fr. Bwalya posted on Zambian Eye Facebook Group:

A good leader provides solutions to make everyone happy. So President Lungu says early retirement 55, normal retirement 60 and late retirement 65. But HH says this is another donchi kubeba. The reality is that President Lungu has resolved this problem now.

Those who want to retire at 55 can do so. Those who should or want to stay on can retire at 60 or indeed at 65. But why is HH still raising issues over this? Its because his list of issues against PF and ECL is being systematically reduced as the PF government resolves issues one after another.

Not long ago UPND condemned the removal of maize subsidies. They went to town explaining the need to reverse the decision because ubunga will become expensive and people will suffer. Now my government says subsidies will be reintroduced. But check the response of UPND. It seems to me that HH and his UPND don’t want us to correct situations because it diminishes their chances of forming government. Hence even if the kwacha is stabilised HH will complain saying; “they have copied my concern”.

    • John Chinene, you are a very stupid man like something from which you came out from when you were born. You Frank, you are just a job seeker and cursed like satan was and is cursed by God. You are two people with little if anything have no thinking at all. Learn to be responsible and love your own country. No wonder you Frank you left priesthood, because of your stupidity. You are really an idiot of a dog. May the devil guide you for rest of your life and lead to hell.

  5. Fatherless Bwalya, we agree with you but this is the logic of ” Me too” by copying every thing your friend says its easy but here is the how. The Civil Servants most of them would like to go at 55, but where will the money come from to pay them? Mathematically this means that EL has added a number of disgruntled people who will be frustrated ofcourse by 2016, and these would be enemies of PF and they will quicly demand the exit of PF to test new brains to find money to pay them. In 2016 HH will be saying PF has failed to pay retirees as a campaign issue. You should understand Bwalya the matrix here and the way politics are. In the same way fwebakwete amano, ukuchila napali ba UPND , we were saying Its good for HH to have lost, because winning would have meant him carrying a cup with Acid and running which would have poured on him and disfigured him ( Analogy) he would have reached 2016 , with a very bad and disfugured face, we were even going to fail to reconise him. Why, if he won he was going to inherit broke country and Government sure in one year what can one do ? So 2016 he should go for a full term of five years with a breather and time to change things, like Mwanawasa MHSRIP, did he started poorly but made it, stabilised the currency, identified the right people to work with and things became stable , even managed to calm down the strongest oppostion at the time PF under our late president MCS ( MHSRIP) , they began to talk, you dont what was going to come out of that reconciliation . So dont just talk from without, if those two lived imwe ba Bwalya , ngatatwamwishiba no ku mwishiba , you are just a chancer , so understand things and have a vision, the problem you have you are an ordained priest but tawakwata na menso ya ku mupashi. Mwaiche think before you say things.

  8. HH and UPND’s constructive criticism of the party in government is welcome. Imagine if Zambians were to rely on parties under Father Frank Bwalya and Dr Cosmo Mumba to do the checks and balances for us!!! The PF reforms being made by President Edgar Lungu would have never been made. That is for sure given the opposition ECL himself faced prior to the by-election and still faces in some PF quarters. Please understand that HH is not an enemy of President Lungu. HH is a political competitor. He is like the leaders of the Labour Party in UK and Republicans in USA, underpinned by ideological leanings that are different from those of the PF. He is offering himself as an alternative President of Zambia. So, for you who do not understand how politics work please ask. Do not ask people like Frank Bwalya who want a one-party state, they will just mislead you with their shallow understanding of politics. Even if HH leaves politics another would take his place.
UPND should not be discouraged by outbursts from political failures but focus on consolidating the gains of the 2015 by-elections. Be encouraged. In New Zealand the National Party which won the elections by an overwhelming majority in 2014 has just lost a parliamentary seat in a by-election held in its stronghold. That is not to say the National Party and its leader Prime Minister John Key are not working. The people in that constituency think National Party, a conservative party, is not addressing their issues adequately. Viva democracy and viva courageous opposition political parties, viva progressive President Lungu for acknowledging issues raised by the people through the opposition.

  13. Father Bwalya HH does not need to be in Government to contribute to Zambia’s development.., his balance sheet is very affloat. He is a servant of the people, let him speak for the poor. What about Frank Bwalya ; are you looking for the position of Defence Minister from Edgar Lungu which is vacant?

  14. Kabele,
Please….and I plead with you. Do not be emotional my friend. I may not even know you personally nor do you know me, but Frank Bwalya has made his choice to be a politician, and only God almighty has the right to judge him. There is nothing too late with God. God is never in a hurry…He gives you also time for repentance. Your prayer is too harsh that tells me that you are cursing father Bwalya for the wrong that does not involve you. “Wilalumbula ishina lyakwa Lesa obe apafye.” I urge you to withdraw the curse and refrain from using the name of the Lord to quench your hateful attitude. God is LOVE he loves even sata because he has allowed him to coexist. Besides hh is a politician too whose name can be discussed but not to be cursed. The title “Father” is a permanent reference to anybody who attained the fatherhood, whether by bearing children or attainment just like Doctor. Do not forget we have Dr V.J. Where did he train to be a doctor …not even political Science did he study.
