Lungu hands over 38 police houses

President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has commissioned 38 Police Housing Units in Chibombo District of Central Province. The President handed over the flats to Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo and Police Command in the Province.

The Head of State said it is his government desire that all Police Officers are housed.

He was speaking at a ceremony on June 23 in Chibombo.

And President Lungu assured Police Officers that the remaining flats to be furnished will be done soon and alleviate housing challenge in the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Meanwhile Kampyongo said the housing units are part of the 12,000 being constructed by the Patriotic Front-PF- government countrywide for officers under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

He said another phase of houses are being constructed for officers in Kabwe and Chisamba.

  1. Of course what Lungu did not tell the officers–and what Kampyongo does not know or would never know–is that these “housing units—12,000 being constructed by the PF government countrywide for Officers” are a product of a misallocated Euro Bond, Chinese Loan expense and a Lungu economic tragedy that is and will be heavy load on the shoulders of the officers, their children, grand children and Zambians for the foreseable future. Translation? This short-term bliss is a product of PF-Ignorance, and Zambia’s wasted years under Lungu and PF.
