Former president Edgar Lungu this morning led a number of senior PF leaders to give solidarity to Socialist Party president Fred M’membe who was summoned by the Police.

“Let me escort him,” Lungu said after hugging M’membe throwing jokes as he walked with him into Ibex Police station.

“I’m ready whether they want to take me to Bweengwa. I will go,” M’membe said amid cheering.

“We appreciate the show of solidarity from my brother Edgar Chagwa Lungu, the Patriotic Front leaders and members,” said M’membe.

Dr M’membe has since been arrested and charged him with esponage and moved to Westwood Police station outskirt of Lusaka.

By press time his lawyers were still fighting to get bond.
