President Edgar Lungu has declared Thursday, July 26, 2018 as a public holiday to enable voters in Lusaka and other districts across the country to vote in the local government by-elections.

President Lungu made the announcement today at Ukwimi School Grounds in the newly created district of Lusangazi Eastern Province, where he was drumming up support for Patriotic Front (PF) Council Chairperson Candidate William Banda.

  1. because the idiot is not responsible for businesses who have to pay workers overtime to come in on a federal holiday.
