Lungu commissions US$2m Luapula Medical Stores hub

President Edgar Lungu has today commissioned the US$2 million Medical Stores Regional Hub in Mansa District, Luapula Province.

The state of the art hub is the second one that the Head of State has commissioned after the Mpika facility which he commissioned earlier this year.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia, intends to have medical hubs erected in all provinces as a measure to address last mile inefficiencies in the medicine supply chain.

The President was in the company of Patriotic Front Secretary General Davis Mwila, Patriotic Front National Chairperson Samuel Mukupa, and some members of the PF Central Committee.

Cabinet Ministers who included Event Host Minister, Health Minister, Dr. Chitalu Chilufya, Presidential Affairs Minister Freedom Sikazwe, Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa and Gender Minister Elizabeth Phiri witnessed the commissioning.
