President Lungu flanked by PF Secretary General Davis Chama and State House Deputy Minister Mulenga Sata

President Edgar Lungu has announced his full cabinet Thursday morning at a press conference held at State House.

President Lungu said he has come to understand that the task of constituting government is not an easy one. He said he had to bring in members of the opposition and also ensure that all the regions are represented.

The President has brought in his cabinet opposition MMD Vice president Dr. Michael Kaingu who is also Member of Parliament for Mwandi in Western province and another MMD MP Vincent Mwale.

Below are the positions for the Ministries that were not filled:

President Lungu says he will remain Defence Minister until further notice

Agriculture and Livestork: Given Lubinda

Youth and Sports: Vincent Mwale (MMD MP)

Minies and Energy: Christopher Yaluma

Information and Broadcasting Services: Chishimba Kambwili

Lands: Christabel Nyimbu newly elected PF MP for Zambezi East

Local Government: Dr. John Phiri

Labour and Social Security: Fackson Shamenda

Community Development: Emerine Kabanshe

Transport: Yamfwa Muknga

Gender: Nkandu Luo

Ministry of Education: Michael Kaingu from MMD
