Zambia’s Copper Queens forward Racheal Kundananji played a vital role in Bay FC’s comeback victory, helping them snap a five-game losing streak in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Facing an uphill battle after conceding a goal to Kyra Carusa in the 23rd minute, the newcomers Bay FC found themselves on the brink of extending their losing streak to six games.

However, Scarlett Camberos ignited a resurgence with a crucial equalizer in the 55th minute, breathing new life into the home side.

Kundananji’s influence on the game continued in the dying moments.

Her well-timed sliding tackle in the 87th minute forced San Diego Waves defender Hanna Lundkvist to inadvertently turn the ball into her own net, securing a dramatic 2-1 victory for Bay FC.
