Zambia striker Rodgers Kola had a forgettable weekend in Israel at Ironi Kiryat Shmona who lost 3-1 away to Beitar Jerusalem on Sunday.
The defeat was the former league leaders Kiryat Shmona’s second of the season after dominating the Israel top flight from August to-date but now find themselves down in second place.
Kola came on in the 46th minute with the two sides locked at 1-1 coming from the break but made very little impact.
Fourth placed Beitar went on to score two goals in the last 13 minutes of the game.
Meanwhile, Kola’s compatriots defender Emmanuel Mbola and striker Evans Kangwa are expected to return to action on Monday evening when seventh placed Hapoel Ra’anana host number eight side Ashdod.
Kangwa and Mbola have returned to the club following Zambia’s exit from the 2015 Africa Cup last week.
