Killer cop finally turns himself in

Constable Edwin Kabasiya, the fugitive Police officer who has spent several months on the run after allegedly murdering his fellow officer has handed himself over to Chipata Central Police Station in Eastern Province.

Police Public Relations Officer Esther Katongo has disclosed that Kabasiya is currently in custody and yet to be brought to Lusaka.

On January 4, 2019, Constable Lennox Kapila,26, was shot by Kabasiya of Meanwood Kwamwena Police Post in Lusaka.

Kabasiya is reported to have gone to Munali Police Post where he picked up a quarrel with Kapila and later shot him in the stomach using an AK 47 rifle.
