KBF rides on ‘pelting of President HH in Chingola, says he understands message behind it

Zambia Must Prosper leader Kelvin Fube Bwalya (KBF) says while he is against all forms of violence, he understands the message behind the pelting of President Hakainde Hichilema in Chingola.

He says the recent pelting of President Hichilema in Chingola is a painful reminder of the deep frustration and anger among the people.

“While I strongly condemn any act of violence, I also understand the message behind it — our citizens are hurting, and they feel unheard,” he says.

Posting on his Facebook page, KBF said the destruction of Chiwempala Market, which left many families without a source of livelihood, is more than just a local tragedy.

He added that it is a reflection of a government that has lost touch with the daily struggles of ordinary Zambians.

KBF said to hold a political rally in the midst of such suffering shows a worrying lack of empathy for the people’s pain.

As Zambia Must Prosper, we believe leadership is about listening and acting — not just talking. I therefore urge President Hichilema to pay attention to the cries of our citizens and take meaningful steps to ease their hardship. Zambians deserve respect, dignity, and a government that truly serves them.

In this spirit, I call upon the government to:

1. Fairly resolve the issues surrounding Senseli Mine and ensure workers and communities benefit equitably.

2. Provide immediate support to those affected by the Chiwempala Market demolition, helping them rebuild their lives.

3. Create decent jobs for our youth, who are growing increasingly hopeless.

4. Address the worsening economic crisis, including power shortages, high food prices, and lack of opportunities.

Our people do not need more speeches or excuses — they need solutions.
It is time to restore dignity, rebuild hope, and put the people of Zambia first.
