Katanga’s “War display” in Luanshya

Singer Chama Fumba aka Pilato has taken a swipe at Copperbelt province Police Commissioner Charity Katanga for sending a battalion of officers to Luanshya when opposition NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili was arrested.

Pilato says Katanga displayed a war zone scenario as though she was directing a movie:

When a drama director becomes a police commissioner… They want to dramatise everything to satisfy their abandoned film-making talent. They start creating Hollywood movie scenes napashiligile.

I think this Charity didn’t begin at home, how do you get this dramatic in Luanshya. Dr. Kambwili didn’t go to Luanshya with guns, he is not a military personnel, he does not wield weapons. He is just a politician with a voice, so how do you go with this armour like you are going to war?

The NDC supporters did not even promise to fight back and even if they said they would battle with the police, are you sure ba Katanga those are the weapons you were considering to use against political cadres? Mmmmmmm I think your film-making calling is stronger than your serving
in the police service.

saying ” carry the machine gun also”?. I think you need to try to do a Ka
Zambian action movie Zambezi magic would be happy to work with you. This
excitement with power and weapons is not necessary in a country like ours.
This Charity I think started in the cinema not home.
