Kasenengwa votes for new MP

Voters in Kasenengwa Constituency in Eastern Province are currently voting for a new Member of Parliament.

Three candidates namely; Abel Ngwenya of the UPPZ, Sensio Band of the PF and John Zulu of the PAC are vying for the seat left vacant by the death of Victoria Kalima three months ago.

At Madzimawe polling station, Presiding Officer Ackson Kumwenda declared the polling station open at exactly 06:00 hours.

The polling station has two streams with 1,307 registered voters.

By 06:00 hours, less than ten people were on the cue waiting to cast their ballots.

Kasenengwa Constituency has 49,837 registered voters with 65 polling stations.
