Kambwili to make fresh appeal against NDC de-registration

Former Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili says he will make a fresh appeal against the de-registration of his party, the National Democratic Congress.

Kambwili says he only withdrew the matter from court because of technicalities.

Last week, the former law maker discontinued an appeal before the Lusaka High court, against the decision of the chief Registrar of Societies to cancel the certificate of registration of his party saying it is illegal, procedurally improper and unreasonable.

Meanwhile, Civil Society Constitution Agenda (CISCA) Chairperson Bishop John Mambo says the deregistration of NDC shows that the Speaker of National Assembly Patrick Matibini did not investigate when he declared the Roan parliamentary seat vacant on alleged floor crossing.

He has accused Dr. Matibini of playing double standard on his parliamentary rulings.

One Response to Kambwili to make fresh appeal against NDC de-registration

  1. People at loggerheads with the law and others who engage in stressful politics need to understand that frequent exposures to harmful environments like detention cells have the potential to make them develop NCDs like hypertension, diabetes, immunosuppression and tumors particularly the obese ones. This means that when they get into power they may not enjoy the fruits of their struggle. Let such people take things ease because when God destined you for any leadership of his people before you where born it will still come to pass with or without a fight.
