Acting Labour Minister Chishimba Kambwili has ordered Management at Times of Zambia to find money and pay the three months salary arrears to workers, reports Zambian Eye Correspondent.

The workers at Times of Zambia, a government owned and controlled Newspaper went on strike on Tuesday, June 3, demanding for three months salaries.

Addressing the media at his office Wednesday, June 4 Kambwili gave Management at Times of Zambia a two week ultimatum to find the money and pay workers. He warned that heads will role if his directive is not followed.

Kambwili said he was extremely disturbed and disappointed when he heard that Unionised Workers at Times of Zambia have gone without pay for three months

The outspoken Minister said government Institutions and Parastals should lead by example if private sector employers are to be pushed to pay their workers well. He said government will not allow industrial unrest.
