Kambwili is well, stays in Prison Clinic – Human Rights Commission

Jailed outspoken ailing politician Chishimba Kambwili is being kept at the Prison’s clinic, Human Rights Commission has revealed.Contrary to SOS being sought by his family and political party PF, Kambwili’s health condition is well and being managed by Prison Health Authorities.
There has been calls made to President Hakainde Hichilema that he pardons Kambwili on health grounds or have him seek medical treatment. His family said Kambwili could be lost if nothing is done.
The wife, Caro said President Hichilema must intervene so Kambwili can be allowed to go for medical attention and he will be back to finish his jail sentence.
The Commission says it visited the outspoken politician saying he is well managed and kept at the clinic where he has access to the upper bed.
Kambwili is serving a six months jail sentence with hard labour for hate speech committed in the heated campaign of 2021 elections.
