Kambwili asked for it – PF

The Patriotic Front (PF) says it is not surprising that National Democratic Congress (NDC) leader Chishimba Kambwili was attacked at Power FM in Kabwe because he is equally violent verbally and he has now met his match.

Reacting to Tuesday’s attack on Kambwili in Kabwe by suspected PF cadres, PF Media Director Sunday Chanda says while the ruling party condemns all acts of violence, the NDC leader asked for it.

“Whereas the leadership and general membership of the PF can and will continue to ignore Kambwili’s provocative and demeaning politics, not every member of the public and PF sympathiser will stomach his inflammatory language and insults against the President. It therefore should not surprise anyone if sooner than later he met his match,” Chanda said in a statement.

“We wish to remind Mr. Kambwili of a scientific law that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Let him realize that violence can be verbal and it usually provokes more violence”

Chanda added that in today’s nation people must be void of highly provocative and violent language against against political opponents. He said it is an affront to democracy and an abuse of one’s freedom of expression.
