Unionised employees for Judiciary in North Western Province are planning to demonstrate against government wage freeze slapped on civil servants.

In a press statement today, President Of The Judicial And Allied Workers Union Of Zambia (JAWUZ), Peter Mwale, directed all unionized Judiciary workers to be ready to demonstrate against the wage freeze.

Mr Mwale stressed that the demonstration will only be carried out if the government fails to resolve the matter with his union amicably.

Provincial Chairman for Judicial and Allied Workers Union of Zambia (JAWUZ), Helemendi Chifuka, stated that special instructions will be issued to unionised judicial staff to demonstrate.

Union leaders of umbrella organizations representing their members countrywide and church mother bodies have all spoken against the wage freeze and appealed to the government to lift it.
