It’s done, we have won this election – HH

Opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema says it’s done, he is the winner of the January 20 Presidential elections.

Hakainde Hichilema who is featuring on a live programme on Hot FM this evening, says it is now clear that his party has won the elections.

“We have won this election already and no one should steal this election,” Hichilema said when asked to comment if he will accept defeat if he lost the poll.

Hichilema explained that from his tour of the country, it is clear that Zambians have already made a verdict because they are tired of Patriotic Front.

“Zambians are tired of PF. Zambians have decided. The verdict is done there is nothing the PF can do in 12 days. It is done. UPND has won this election,” he declared. “What ever PF will do with ZNBC or whoever they have lost this elections.”

The UPND said the PF will try to rig the elections but the people have decided already.

Asked how different his campaigns are this time around as compared to 2011, Hichilema said he has received massive support from all corners of the country. He said this was God’s time and no one will stop his victory.

On the allegations by Patriotic Front Bishop,  Chomba that he is a freemasonist, Hichilema said: “I am not a freemasonist, this Chomba guy is so malicious. I am a Seventh Day Adventist and my (Church) president came out to explain.”

    • These UPND species, are indeed dreamers.Zambia will never ever be ruled by a Satanist.Freemason is a Secret Society or club, just like Lions Club.So it’s possible for one to be a Catholic, but still belong to any club.So the explanation of that SDA President does not stop HH to join any club of his choice. In this case the Freemasons Secret Society Club.

      • well said the Priest,to a resilient person, dreams do come true if you follow through and in these elections,HH’s dream will be reality….on the issue of freemason, how did Bishop Chomba come across HH’s name in the members’ Registry at a lodge ‘located’ along Cha Cha Road, if not a mason himself??
it is said that,if you want to know the lifestyle of a crocodile, ask a hippo.whats the emblem of the walking stick Lungu carries around,do want to research??….lets look at the packages that both candidates are offering, does it inspire people’s pride and confidence in Zam-Politics?…so far,HH stands out!

  5. You win when people vote. What you are saying will discourage your own voters from going to vote since they will think their vote won’t make a difference. Encourage people not to shy away from voting. Encourage them to go and vote. People’s opinion may favor you but the reality is that if your voters don’t show up you will cry foul. I for one will head there to vote for you.

  12. A leader should not use such phrases as ‘Only dull people would think that upnd can not govern well because the PF budget is already approved.’ If you think you are the only intelligent human being and yet you are not even a teacher to transfer that intelligence to others, then you are the most dull hh. I even made up my mind to save my vote for you, but alas… this disqualifies you for my seven family votes. Before you even become president …you are insulting Zambians that we are dull just because we doubt that you may not even do well to continue with MC Sata’s programme, that we Zambians do want. and you become big headed to insult us. EL will do the job. Thanx… To hell with your leadership. It’s not worth it. Wailasha Copper belt residents were only curious when they came to you rally. Try again in 2016

    January 9, 2015 at 4:48 am

    • Which Pf budget? You are surely dull. Don’t you know that It is national budget made by ministry of finance technocrats? Didn’t pf find an approved budget made under RB? Kwena mulabepwa. Could it be that most illiterates are in pf? An literate person doesn’t the budget as pf’s. Do you think the likes of EL, Kambwili, Kampyongo, Nsanda can make a budget?

interesting you mentioned the Copperbelt vote, did you conduct a door-to-door Census to come up with your Assumtion?’s fine you can keep your seven family votes, thats the beauty of exercising your democratic choice to vote for Lungu,no hard feelings.

just say you are Pro-Lungu,sometimes you don,t have to literally teach, but you can do by letting others observe your success,so far hh is a success story in business,he is inteligent,no disrespect to you candidate.

  14. Your message of hope for a better Zambia through good governance, message of unity in diversity, your vision, plans and sincerity to serve and not to amass wealth has been clear and consistent to all honest Zambians. While others are in for it to earn a comfortable living just for themselves, family and friends, yours is to give back to the nation what mother Zambia did for you. We have all the hope that, come 22nd January, 2015, you will be declared Zambia’s sixth Republican President.

    January 9, 2015 at 7:21 am

  15. A freemasonist can never rule zambia. PF is the party for zambians and by zambians HH is being fooled by his god. Our God has given E Lungu to take over from late MCS, all God has done is to lure HH in believing that he is winning while in the actual sense is paying back to the zambians the money he fraudulently made from zambian companies. The bilble is very clear on money fraudulently Acquired it flies like dry leeves.
The man has no portion in Zambian politics, he thinks he is the only zambian who is most educated, most knowledgeable, richest and yet is nothing but lucifer full of pride. He will be cast out of zambian politics come 20.01.15. so that it is done the way it was done in heaven. All dreamers and friends of HH MARK MY WORDS and prove me wrong after this date. I dont speak to please the masses but what God has reaveled to me, be strong because you will be shocked after this date. Look at E Lungu he is just campaining and depending on God, that is how a humble person appointed by God behaves. According to HH and his god, he has already won the elections, pride makes people to speak like him, Lucifer said I will ascend on high and be like the most high God. Did he ascend on high? No. the same will happen to your small god – HH. You can insult, speak whatever you desire, God will never change his decision, its final.

ok,depending on how you classify them, which Devil has a good and inspiring package,Hh or Lungu??..listen to them during their rallies, its sad they didn’t have a Debate,at least people could have asked them on how they intend to go about implementing their promise, pledge and Party Policies for zambia..remember, a leader holds power in-trust for the people,it is a good constitution that helps him to be a good custodian whether freemason, backslider, divorcee or drunkard…wish i could expound more to you small tribe on the benefits of a constitution both to a leader and the people….next time, put your name forward for candidacy if u are good christian.

  20. Come 20th January 2014, we the patriotic Zambians will send hallucinating Hakaivotela Heka into permanent retirement after a fourth electoral defeat! It is absurd for HH to claim victory even before we the Zambian voters have voted. Pf is doing also, but in a wrong way.clobbering people to submission, preventing helicopters from landing, smear campaign by their Bishops, doesn’t work, not this time around…so chin up wisdom,if u don’t like it vote against it on the 20th,but let Hh walk the talk.

  30. Would like to share this will all “HH is lost and not fit to run the country. No learned economist can make promises without reason. The man is dull indeed. The international fertilizer prices started to increase in 2007 and peaked by 2009. Since then the prices have increased by more 230%. So it’s a fallacy in the absence of several fertilizer plants beside NCZ to tell people than you are going to reduce the price of fertilizers. Only after 2011, as Zambia seen some meaningful activity to eanble it produce more profitably. What Zambia needs are more fertilizer plants in the major cropping areas and not fake promises of reducing fertilizer costs.
Fertilizer as a production input only contributes less than 30% to grain or oil seed producers’ costs. The other costs include labour, fuel and electricity, pesticides, storage bags, seed costs etc. So to cheat Zambians that reducing fertilizer will bring an overnight increase in agricultural production is a lie. HH go back to economic school and come back after 10 years maybe you can stopping lying anymore. A reduction may yield results 3 – 4 later and even then it may not be increased agriculture. So if HH was president and reduced fertilizers by 20% next year, Zambian agriculture will not improve by the same margin next year or in 2017, because there other factors. Sometimes I wonder whether indeed he is a farmer, because owning a farm doesn’t necessary make you a farmer. Especially if you exhibit highest level of ignorance that Zambia is a landlocked country and at times landing costs could be high. Due to the fact that Zambia imports 75% of local demand of fertiliser, and local industry operates in a open market, the international prices are likely to filter in the pricing mechanism. The bulk of the Zambia locally produced fertilizer is nitrogen and phosphate based. The country need potassium, calcium, sulphur, boron and other nutrients. So it’s not wrong to assume that the current local prices are highly correlated with international prices. Because of the huge local demand, henceforth the local and international prices are thus linked. So it’s a fallacy to preach that he will reduce fertilizer costs without considering these aspects.
The Other thing Zambia as a country is on the move and cannot afford to revert back to subsidies. Subsidies do not build an economy but destroys an economy. If Zambia wants to see potholes, vandalized schools, leaking schools, increased street vending, high level of poverty etc. Introduce Subsidies. Remember the riots on the copperbelt of 1986. Subsidies are a evil, they balloon the National Budget, leading to failure to sustain the country’s economy. It will grind to a halt. At the rate Zambia is developing, we don’t need subsides, only an ill-minded Zambian who was not there in 1990s would talk about free education, free health services, uneconomically fuel prices. Zambians reject HH, Nevers Mumba and others they don’t mean well for Zambia. let’s not forget the bad days of 1980s and early 1990s. These guys have their childrens in USA, Canada, UK etc. so all they are doing is lies . Only a PF government would offer continuity and sustainable development, and evetually lead to realisation of vision 2030.” This was posted on Zambia Reports and I support these views. HH is a Lier

    January 9, 2015 at 6:50 pm

    • stoun, you are it again? yes the price of fertilizer in Zambia is too high,do u know why?..the Pf regime has made it a COMMODITY,but HH promises to make it affordable for Small Scale Farmers in the Rural Areas, mind you,he’s a successful commercial farmer + businessman

yes, there’s nothing wrong with having so many fertilizer plants, but if not controlled,we can breed a situation of ‘anything but fertilizer.’

did u say subsidies destroy the economy? i don’t think so, to the contrary,if well managed, they help to innovate a Small Man to continue producing, the intention is not to bankroll him but to encourage by meeting him/her half-way,this is what Hakainde is advocating, yes it can be done.

as for free education and healthcare, these two are a universal basic right,do know reason hakainde calls education the best equalizer?? he’s a beneficiary of affordable education.if the education and health sectors are improved, there will be no need for people like nevers mumba to seek for education and health services elsewhere,eg Canada as u mentioned.

stoun,i wish we could have a Forum on this, don’t you think?

  31. HH – IS A LIER,
HH as an economist, you claim you are, can you give Zambians the basis on which you are making all these promises.

Creating more jobs, free education, cheap fuel, cheap meal mealie etc can only come from more resources.

You have a finite available resources available in any economy.

If you are looking at same amount of Revenue in the short term, what variables are you changing to be able to keep above promises.

There is a limit to how much you can grow the economy in short term.

Look at the economy of Texas today, it is the best performing state in America, but not all the population are happy.

The idea of cheap food was tried by Dr. Kaunda, devoted a lot of our resources subdising production, he did not foresee Rural Urban Drift.

We all know that it is this cheap urban food that lead to 1988 food riots and coup attempt.

HH and your UPND you have a long way to justify your suitability to manage this country’s affairs.

Please do not just promise, tell us how you will meet those promises – what variables are you changing, give us figures to justify your free fertilizer, free education, free medical facilities, cheap fuel, and all your lies

    the stoun
    January 9, 2015 at 6:58 pm

    • the stoun, which lies is Hh peddling?? please listen to his campaign message again.,there’s always a starting point from where everybody in life commences,we have short term and long term plans.if UPND policies are well implemented, Zambia’s economy can turn around for better just like in China and Brazil.

you mentioned Texas,do u know what has helped their economy to grow?? a good constitution which acts as a frame work on where all the factors u have mentioned hinges

on the urban drift during Ba kaunda’s time, again hakainde has touched on this, the Agriculture sector which was neglected by UNIP and Pf Regimes must be improved, mind you Hh is a success story in both subsistence and commercial farming.

hmm,how is the revenue,,very BAD??…stoun please don’t exaggerate! u see why it would have been wise to have a Debate between Lungu and HH?? u could have posed all these question.from your stand point, you sound Pro-Lungu.Now, here is a question, how will Lungu justify the suitability to manage welfare of the Nation if he’s telling the TRUTH??
