Impeachment motion okay but there’s no time – Parley

Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Namugala has qualified the motion but says Parliament needed time to study the motion.

Namugala explained that the constitution does not stipulate a time frame within which an impeachment motion should be tabled in Parliament.

This was after a point of order was raised by leader of the opposition in parliament Jack Mwiimbu over when the impeachment motion would be tabled in the house and threats on the life of Garry Nkombo the mover of the motion.

Meanwhile, Namugala said the impeachment of the President is provided for in the constitution and that the motion to impeach president Lungu had met all the constitutional requirements.

Namugala further ordered that all PF cadres who had gone to parliament to harass the mover of the presidential impeachment motion Nkombo to be removed from the premises of parliament.

Hundreds of PF cadres led by their Lusaka province youth chairman Kennedy Kamba besieged parliament grounds to intimidate and harass UPND members of parliament.

The cadres surrounded parliament building and blocked the main entrance.

  1. Nkombo can you see and know that doing things in a hurry you miss a target? The Nation is waiting for the Republican President you promised. Otherwise you gave unfulfilled promise which will bring negativity during your campaign for 2021 elections. No body will believe your campaign promises. You do not assure the Nation like that bwana!!

  2. God loving Zambian can’t wait to see the back of Lungu out of state house. I can not imagine in my life time to watch the level of stealing national resources that has taken place since Lungu illegally assumed power in this country.

Lungu has no heart of love as can be attested by the amount of wealth he has accumulated is the shortest period of time.

Lungu has no heart for one-zambia-one-nation Moto. Look at how many Lozi’s, Solis, lundas, Lenjes, Tongas, luvales, kaondes, etc have been fired for being what they are and for allegedly supporting UPND.

Lungu has no regard for the constitution which he appended his signature to.
