I’m ready to be led – Kambwili

Opposition NDC consultant Chishimba Kambwili has insisted that the 2021 elections should be a two-horse race between the ruling PF and a united opposition force.

Kambwili says would have no problem with a person other than him leading the alliance, saying “if one has to lead, he must be prepared to be led.”

Featuring on Radio Phoenix’s Let the People Talk live interview hosted by Luchi today, Kambwili said the opposition in the country needs to channel the spirit of 1991 where Zambians from all provinces united against Dr Kenneth Kaunda’s UNIP if they have to successfully unseat the “corrupt” PF in 2021.

And responding to a caller who queried him on why he was still clinging to the PF, a party he says is corrupt, Kambwili stated that he was not in any way interested in the PF but that he was only fighting for the right to remain a Member of Parliament for Roan Constituency.

He explained that the new constitution protects MPs from losing their seats on flimsy grounds. He stated that under the new constitution, if the courts ruled that an MP was unjustly expelled by his party, he would be allowed to keep his seat as an independent.

Meanwhile, Kambwili has urged Zambians to take an interest in the affairs of the country.

He says Zambians should start making known their displeasure at the numerous blunders the PF government is committing and not just leave the job to him (Kambwili) and Hakainde Hichilema to speak for them.

  1. It’s sad that our politicians are now telling us lies and hiding their failure s in the name of constitution.Ba kambwili is good at talking and insulting but cant accept the fact that he has failed to make an impact or offer solutions to the current government. This can be seen from the results of the past by elections where he failed lamentable.Accept the fact that he is a had working man but that does not make him a good leader.

Ba Mwansa Kalumbu do you really think, any way I know the thinking of PF.
Ba Kambwili please seat with HH and come up with a solution before things get to worse.
