PF presidential aspirant Miles Sampa has disassociated himself from a group called cartel with vest interest in the ruling party.

The infamous cartel is said to be wanting to have a person it can control to be the successor to President Michael Sata.

Sampa who is among the contenders for the ruling party’s top job.

“I was asked about my affiliation with any special interest group within the party commonly referred to as ‘The Cartel’. Anyone who has followed my political career closely will know that I have never belonged to any such group. What I am is a member of the Patriotic Front and I have remained neutral,” stated Males Sampa in a statement issued by his spokesperson.

On reports that he deserves to be PF presidency because he has helped the PF alot and even gave party president who is also his uncle Michael Sata a vehicle which he used during the 2006 campaigns, Sampa said this:

“It’s very unfortunate that my comment regarding the automobile I once volunteered towards the 2006 Presidential campaign has been misconstrued. A media house claiming I stated, ‘I gave Sata my car, I deserve PF Presidency’ because of the said vehicle is utter misinterpretation by my opponents who have developed cold feet over the upcoming convention. I am open to being attacked on anything but do hereby request that the cordial affiliation I had with the late President is respected. I was 8 years old when I lost my father and he took parental acre of him by financing my education and beyond. Any malice towards my bond with him breaks my heart. I will always be grateful, love and respect him forever.

The Matero lawmaker says It is unfortunate that there is a lot of distortion and fabrication on the media platforms which he said can be misleading.

Sampa who is also Deputy Minister of Commerce has urged all aspirants to remain focused and not allow cheap politicking to come in the way of their desired ambitions.
