The Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) has unearthed a scam where some illegal printing of money has been taking place at a House in Garden Compound in Lusaka.
This happened during an operation conducted January 31, 2014 after a tip off. It was discovered that a bedroom was used to print different currencies which are believed to be circulated in the public.
During an operation DEC Officers confiscated 8000 British Pounds, 15, 000 Zambian Kwacha. An addition of 3000 Zambian kwacha was being printed during a raid to the House.
Seventeen people have since been arrested as the Commission believes the team was behind the counter fake money being circulated in the country.
