I will die with Edgar Lungu – Mwila

Patriotic Front (PF) secretary general Davies Mwila has vowed that he will never leave the party and will die with President Edgar Lungu.

Speaking on ‘Sunday Interview’ programme on ZNBC Television, Mwila who was the first to quit his ministerial portfolio under PF government when he resigned as Deputy Minister of Defence under President Sata, said he was a principled person.

Mwila said he stands with what he believes and not what would benefit him.

 

He stated that because he respected President Michael Sata, he did not say anything after he resigned from government.

He explained that he turned down Dr Guy Scott’s offer for him to serve as PF Secretary General during the succession wrangles because he had decided to support Lungu.

“I had made a decision to back Edgar Lungu after consulting my family and friends so by the time Guy Scott came to appoint me as Secretary General it was too late,” Mwila explained.

“No! No! I will not leave President Lungu, I will die with Edgar (Lungu),” reaffirmed Mwila when asked if he would one day quit the PF.

  2. There are historical records in the Bible when the disciples close to Jesus denied being with him when he was arrested and sentenced to death. Now this id!ot is telling us that he will die with Edgar! Let us wait and see when the come for Edgar Lungu when his time is up.
