I apologised to members not Nevers Mumba – Mulusa

MMD National Executive Member has refuted the story that he apologized to Nevers Mumba for being part of the team calling for his removal as leader of the party.

Insiders within MMD and close to Dr. Mumba told Zambian Eye Friday evening revealed that Mr Mulusa requested to meet Dr Mumba’s lawyers at Makebi Zulu & Associates to render his apologies.

“He is very apologetic after he reflected about his recent actions. He is likely to hold a news conference this weekend to announce his full apology and chart his next political course. He has realised that he was wrongly advised to pursue the route of fighting Dr Mumba’s leadership,” the source said.

But Mr. Mulusa refuted ever apologizing to Dr. Mumba saying he went to Makebi Zulu & Associates over the Wynter Kabimba case where he is seeking a Judicial Review.

“You will notice that I left the Mumba issue to the general membership,” said Mulusa

Mr. Mulusa accused the Mumba team of manipulating the story.
