Keembe UPND Member of Parliament Princess Kasune has moved to quash any notion of her ditching her party for the Patriotic Front (PF).

Reacting to some on social media comments that were sparked by her presence at the launch of the 2016/2017 planting season which was graced by President Edgar Lungu on Saturday, Kasune said she remains a committed member of the UPND.

The intrnationally acclaimed HIV/AIDS activist turned politician said in a statement issued on Sunday that her attendance to the event was purely an invitation by the National Farmers Unions in conjunction with Zambeef.

She said it was also to this event that all the ten planters chosen were from her constituency which had the approval of both the whip and the leader of UPND in the house.

“This was an official function for me to support the farmers and the key stakeholders of Keembe,” Kasune said.

“I therefore stand to clarify and correct  any misconstrued allegations on social media, at no time did I say nor do I intend to leave UPND and go to PF, I remain a committed and loyal UPND member.”

She adds that her posture in the photo circulating on social media was a pure case of courtesy arising from her being invited to the seat.
