I feel at home being with UPND members – Guy Scott
Former Patriotic Front Vice president Guy Scott says he enjoys the cordial friendship and brotherly attitude in the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND).
According to a message posted on the UPND official facebook page on Saturday evening, May 23, 2015, Dr. Scott said this Friday evening where he had some drinks with senior UPND Members.
“Unlike other political parties where members are daily fighting among themselves, you don’t find such in UPND, UPND members have remained intact for many years, I feel at home being here,” Dr Scott is quoted to have said.
The UPND also posted a picture of Dr. Scott with former Campaign Manager Dipak Patel and party media official Clayson Hamasaka.
“Guy Scot is a wonderful Man, imagine after helping that guy campaign all over the country, he was the first one to be fired, but he has remained humble and down to earth. We have enough space in Upnd for anyone,” says UPND.
The ruling Patriotic Front experienced in-fighting after the death of founding president Michael Sata in October 28, 2014 which almost disintegrated the party.
The two factions however reconciled five days before the filing of presidential nominations. Dr. Scott went on to campaign for Lungu who was agreed to be the party’s president.
