Opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema says he doesn’t want to be a professional politician.

Hichilema who is the main challenger to incumbent President Edgar Lungu says time for politician is long gone.

He says he will run the country as a business if he wins elections in August 11, 2016.

“I don’t want to be a proffessional politician, i want to lead this country as a technocrat not a politician. The era of political leadership is gone, we need modern leadership which focuses on roburst economic growth. I’ll run this country like a business because a country is a business entity, it has assets, banks, companies etc. The reason why PF is able to obtain loans abroad, its because this country’s assets are used to acquire loans. You need to understand that running a country is like a running a business. These developed countries you see, are developed because every sector is managed like a business whether its health, agriculture, education (private) etc even sports (football) is a business.

Zambia is in economic mess today due to lack of management skills, economic matters are business matters.

Am not saying its only HH who can deliver, NO! All am saying is that we are not short of leadershhp skills”
