Kelvin Bwalya Fube (KBF) says President Edgar Lungu has violated the PF constitution and that of the republican by filing his nomination papers as he doesn’t qualify.

KBF says the fact that Lungu doesn’t qualify to run as Republican president in the forthcoming elections disqualifies him to run for PF presidency.

“The PF constitution is clear that one who should run for its presidency must also qualify to run for Republican President under the republican Constitution, which Lungu doesn’t qualify anymore having had been sworn in twice,” says KBF.

He says Lungu set in motion an act of violating the constitution.

KBF says he did not file his nomination papers at PF Secretariate because he respects the rule of law and therefore cannot be part and parcel of an election that violates the law.

He added that the other reason why he did not file is papers is because the central committee that recently endorsed Lungu is an illegal central committee because the real committee’s mandate ended in 2016, adding that at that time the party should have held an extra ordinary conference to elect new members.

KBF said the third reason is that the nomination process itself was undemocratic because thugs were hired and positioned at the PF Secretariat to attack and harm him had he gone there to file his papers against Lungu.

He urged his supporters to continue mobilising and be ready for a big signal to change the game and to change the players. KBF says he is running for president.
