Honking resumes today

This is to inform the nation that the Grand Coalition on a campaign for a People Driven Constitution has stayed its suspension of the honking exercise demanding for the immediate release of the Final Draft Constitution and the enactment of a new People Driven Constitution in Zambia.
Grand Coalition would not want to take advantage of the absence of the President to press for the constitution especially that government position seems to be in contrast to both local and international media reports on the health status of our President.
But if indeed, the President is in Israel enjoying his working Holiday, the Coalition will next week reconvene to strategy on how it can force him back home to release the Final Draft Constitution to the Zambian people.
There is no way the President would be away for such a long period of time leaving so many key national processes like the constitution in limbo.
Finally, we would like to assure the police that the Coalition will not succumb to its intimidation, harassment and disruption of its programmes. The Police should know that the constitution cuts across the Zambian spectrum and is for all including the police themselves. We demand professionalism and ethical behaviour from them.
