HH’s colleague Tshisekedi is in China

Neighbouring Congo DR President Felix Tshisekedi has arrived in China for a working visit.

There are growing calls in Zambia for President Hakainde Hichilema who has aligned himself with the west to visit China. Much of Zambia’s foreign debt is to China.

Hichilema who is seen as stunning star in Africa by the west recently responded to calls for him to visit China that he is in the. Queue.

However, his counterpart whom he went to the US with and signed an electric car assembly, the project to be carried by Congo DR arrived in China on Thursday.

The DRC media reports that President Tshisekedi is expected to re-negotiate China’s business deals in the mining sector with the Chinese government.

President Tshisekedi who arrived Wednesday evening 10pm local time accompanied by First Lady Denise Nyakeru is seen in the footage by CCTV+ disembarking from the plane. His entourage includes a powered delegation of government officials.

He was scheduled to have a meeting with his counterpart Xi Jinping and other Chinese companies.

China and DRC are expected to sign bilateral agreement aimed at benefitting the two countries.

The west have been working towards stopping China’s influence in Africa. China is helping many African countries in a number of projects especially infrastructure development and energy sector.

There has been an influx of some Chinese to Africa who take up projects that are financed by their country.
