If what I have seen in the leading opposition leader, HH, who turns 53 on 4th June is anything to go by, then I can politically prophecy that next year is headed for change of guard at Plot 1 when citizens could experience progress, good governance and a united Zambia.
HH has come down to the people, they now see him as a simplified fellow, one of them. This, to me, is what has been the missing link between him and the people. Voters want a simplified man.

Founded in 1998, the party believes government is responsible for creating an environment in which businesses can flourish, create jobs and drive economic growth. By focusing on economic management and expanding the size of the economy the UPND proposes to utilize the additional revenues raised to invest in raising the standard of education and healthcare.

He has promised to lower food prices through investment in agriculture, reduce the price of fuel, sustain a lower cost of living through improved education and growing our economy; every child to have full access to education from primary up to university; increase frontline health staff, increase stocks of medicine available at clinics; forming a Government which represents the nation, with ministers from every province; delivering the new constitution; reduce size of Government; supporting and empowering local businesses to grow and create jobs; providing youths with skills training opportunities; continue construction of public works; providing tax incentives for industries to grow, including tourism.
