Opposition UPND president Hakainde Hichilema says he has swallowed his pride begging for a dialogue with President Edgar Lungu.

In his latest tweet, Hichilema or HH as he is commonly called writes:

‘I am not concerned about swallowing my pride in pushing for amicable dialogue with @EdgarCLungu. It is our hope that he responds so that we can chart a new course that fosters peace and democracy. The Zambian people want it and we must make it happen!’

And HH says within a year after forming government, Zambia’s economy will be on a serious economic turn around.

In a post on his Facebook page, HH writes;

Mwebantu umfweni kuno.

In less than 21 months and immediately we are sworn in after your massive votes with the help of our God almighty, our country will begin experiencing a serious economic turnaround.

Why? Because of a commodity called CONFIDENCE but most importantly our ability together with you as the Kwacha-Dollar rate will be stabilised, more investors will jet in to partner with you at whatever levels of business but knowing too well that UPND government’s policy on joint ventures is Zambia and Zambians first.

That is what we mean when we say hope and help (HH) is on the way.

Therefore, get involved and get it solved. Ba mayo na ba tata elo na mwebandi mwe misepela don’t even look back, ni forward chabe.

But remember to get your NRC, voters cards ready and keep them safe for those are the most powerful weapons to kick out the corrupt PF for failing to ensure that you have a better tomorrow.

Hope and help na Lesa pantashi, elyashi!

  2. Simply campaining for votes and there us offer for meaningful dialoque with the incumbent. The tone is to beg the incumbent not to stand in 2021 so that he can have easy access to state house. Cheap politics indeed. Is that democracy?

  4. That’s the mark of a reasonable man-to be-president; putting nation before self. Unfortunately, his colleague won’t accept the olive branch because he will consider such a meeting to be a ploy to weaken his strategies for reelection.
