HH addresses final rally says Lungu is going

UPND presidential candidate Hakainde Hichilema says his countrywide interactions with voters has left him with little doubt that Zambians are keen to usher him into office after tomorrow’s general elections.

And Hichilema has urged Zambians to make history by turning out in large numbers and vote for him, his running mate and all UPND candidates at every level, stressing that it is important for his party to win in the first round.

Addressing a capacity crowd that attended the UPND’s final campaign rally held at Mahatma Ghandi ground in Lusaka’s Mtendere Compound, the opposition frontrunner also restated his pledge to lower the cost of living and create jobs for the youths.

He also promised government support for small businesses especially those run by women.

He further bemoaned the high levels of violence that have characterised this year’s elections – for which he blames the PF – and urged the electorate to restore peace and sanity by voting out President Lungu and the ruling party.

He said he was not a satanist but an elder in the SDA Church, adding that he was praying to God to help him rule and fulfil his promises.

And UPND presidential running mate Geophrey Bwalya Mwamba has declared that President Lungu is going after tomorrow’s elections.

Mwamba, commonly known as GBM, says signs are clear that Lungu and his minions are going. He said the Constitution Court’s that ruled that Lungu’s Ministers were illigally in office.

GBM said the UPND government will ensure that all the monies used by Lungu’s Ministers are paid including that used for buying mineral water, following the Constitutional Court’s ruling that Lungu’s Ministers were illigally in office.

He has urged Zambians to wake up as early as 04:00 to go and vote. He has urged Voters to stay at the polling stations until after results are announced. He said Zambians should not vote on tribal lines.

Speaking at the same rally, MMD leader Nevers Mumbai appealed to MMD members countrywide to vote for Hichilema as he was a committed Christian and a Godly man.

He alleged that Lungu is not a Christian but a Muslim and challenged the President to name the church he goes to, his pastor and the year he was baptised if he indeed is a Christian.

The rally was also attended by former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, who is heading a powerful AU delegation to observe tomorrow’s elections.
