Health inspectors confiscate expired products

A combined team of health inspectors from Manyinga Town Council and Ministry of health has confiscated assorted expired products from various shops in the District.
The random inspections were conducted at Tabora and Down town markets respectively.
The seized expired products includes packaged opaque beverages,Soft drinks and handwash products.
The seized products will be taken to court for disposal.
However, the selling of expired products is an offence as it contravenes the Public Health Act 295, Food and Safety Act of 2019 and the Liquor licencing Act No.20 of 2011, Cap 167 of the Laws of Zambia.
