Headmaster and PTA at SOS school must be removed

Dear Editor,

The PTA together with the Headmaster at SOS school must be removed because they have failed to align to a government school and still have a private school mentality, the aim of government is to increase accessibility of the leaning institution to children that would have otherwise failed to attend school due to high school fees but the PTA and the headmaster at this school seem to have other aims for the school, it is high time the ministry of education moved in and kicked out the bad eggs who want to tarnish the name of government by insisting on exorbitant school fees as high as K3,300 per term.

  1. Ba Concerned Parent,

The headteacher at SOS has a proven track record from Mary Queen School. She brings discipline and order to a school she is in charge of. Just give her the time and space and you will see. K 3, 300 by Lusaka standards is not that bad. Most schools, including those run by Churches, are charging over K 4,000 as school fees. First wait and see what that headteacher will do. It is probably to early for you to complain. Finally, SOS school was surrendered by government to the Catholic Church to run it. Probably, find a way of ensuring vulnerable children have a way of being assisted by ensuring that their fees are not as high.

  2. Please change the Headmaster at SIKALONGO SECONDARY SCHOOL IN CHOMA he has been at the school for so many years no one can give him advise at the school he just do things he want do. Teachers dont stay at that school because of him. Also dissolve the PTA they eat money together.
